Starting and finishing at The West Mid Showground. A scenic route showcasing Shrewsbury’s highlights including the Welsh & English Bridge, Kingsland, Porthill, Coleham, The Quarry, Frankwell, and the picturesque town centre with its medieval buildings and unique street names.

• Options for ladies or men’s fit finisher t-shirts.

Transfers to other runners are accepted up to 23:59 on Sunday 1st September 2024. There are no deferrals

Pareto FM Shrewsbury Metric Half Marathon 2024 – 8.1 miles / 13.1km Road Race. Sunday 29th September. Starts at 8:55am.

Following the resounding success of the 2023 event, we're thrilled to bring back the Metric Half Marathon for 2024!

Why the Metric Half Marathon?
Have you completed a 10k but aren't quite ready for the traditional half marathon distance? Or perhaps you're looking for a shorter, faster race challenge? This is the perfect event for you!

Race Details:

• Starting and finishing at The West Mid Showground.
• A picturesque route that hugs the River Severn, crossing both the English & Welsh Bridges, and passing through The Quarry, Kingsland, and Frankwell. 
• April / May entry fees: £23 (affiliated), £25 (unaffiliated).
