Race Start Times: 
2K: 7.30pm
5K: 8.30pm

Can I walk the event? - What time does the course close?

The 2K and 5K start times are above, all runners must be back by 10.00pm or you will be withdrawn from the race, as we have to ensure all runners are safely back. 

If you struggle to complete your distance on the day you can walk the remainder of the course. If unable to finish you must retire and ensure you communicate this to the nearest marshall who will take note of your running bib number.

Entries Deadlines:

Deadline to receive your race number by post:
If you sign up before the 20th June you will receive your entry by post. You can expect your number to arrive by the 25th June.

Deadline to pick up your race number on the day:
If you enter after the 20th June you will have to pick up your number at the event from our registration office located on the path down to the beach under Watergate Bay Hotel, this will have Rock 2 Rock Let's Rock flags flying outside.

Online entries and arena passes will be open until an hour before the event ONLY IF THE EVENT IS NOT SOLD OUT there will be an option to purchase places in cash from the registration office on race day open 10am - 8pm

Please support us by entering early. 

Minimum age requirements for each event:

You must be at least 6 years old to take part. Runners under 8 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult and purchase a joint adult and junior ticket. Please see guidelines below:

1, You must be 6 yrs or above on race day
2, You must have completed your chose distance twice before the event and you are comfortable with this chosen distance
3, You must be accompanied by a parent or guardian AT ALL TIMES before, during and after the race. The accompanying adult must also be officially entered for the event.
4, You must have read and understood the declaration upon booking

Can I run both distances?

The unique attraction of Rock 2 Rock is that your running pass allows you to take part in either or both of the running events (2k - 5k). You don't have to decide before the event but simply run what you like on the day.  

First Time Runners:
Both routes share the same start and finish experience, we have designed it this way to inspire runners to progress to the next level in the following years. It also allows you to share the experience with your friends and family, even if you are doing different distances. 

Refunds:
Full refunds will be available within 14 days of purchase, following this we are unable to offer refunds if you do not run. 

Wheelchairs, Cyclists, Child buggies and Dogs: 
Both the 2k and 5k routes are entirely on compact wet sand with some small areas of shallow water that may have to be crossed. The use of suitable wheelchairs is fine but would advise you to get in contact before to ensure any questions are answered. The use of children buggies are permitted during both distances but have to be suitable for the beach/running and follow briefing instructions.  Unfortunately we do not allow Dogs to take part in the event primarily due to the loud music and fireworks taking place.We do not supply wheelchairs. 

Headphones: 
Although not recommended, personal stereos, IPods & mp3 players can be used at the 2019 Rock 2 Rock Event. Please read the following advice:

‘The Rock 2 Rock Team follow UKA standards and strongly advise that you DO NOT wear in ear headphones or use audio devices during the race for your own safety. However, we endorse the use of Aftershokz and similar bone conduction headphones as these provides a safe solution allowing participants to hear their surroundings as well as their music. In 2019 although NOT RECOMMENDED, there will be no disqualification for use of audio devices’.
