Event Organiser Kyle Greig said “The funds raised from the event will go towards supporting up and coming athletes who require much needed support to get them to the next level of the sport. Unfortunately, there are many athletes who have the potential to excel in athletics but may not fit into a certain category due to disability, mental health or growing up in poverty. This is where ATS intends on filling the gap, providing those who most need our support with the opportunity to reach the next level”.
He also said “With all the challenges and heartbreak during Covid-19 we want to bring everyone in the local community together in a relaxed, safe and unique setting be it from the first timer to the experienced runner.”
There is also volunteering opportunities here to help contribute to the costs of the Santa Suits and Medals so that all the funds raised can go directly to the athletes who need it most. If interested, please contact event organiser [email protected] or contact 07825 507 425
