SCIMITAR LIGHTNING RUN 12HR

Scimitar Lightning Run is a twelve hour off road endurance running event open for solo runners & teams to be held on Sunday 30th April 2017. Held in the idyllic grounds of Catton Park (On a completely different course to the one we use for the Conti Thunder Run 24 hour). The 10k course for the Lightning Run 12 Hour is as challenging as it is enjoyable, taking in the breathtaking scenery as the route weaves its way up and down the hills and through the technical trails in the woodlands. Ample course marking, a mid-point drinks station and plenty of supportive marshals will ensure that competitors can concentrate on enjoying the challenge and tackling the terrain.

Now well established on the endurance running calendar the Scimitar Lightning Run is a great focus to keep you training throughout the winter months and is used by many as a warm-up for the Conti Thunder Run 24hr giving runners a good taster of what’s to come later in the year, getting used to the format, style of course, team tactics & running in the dark.

CATTON 10K - NEW FOR 2017!

Working with Scimitar Sports we are excited to announce that Saturday 29th April at 1500 will see the inaugural edition of the Catton 10K.

The Catton 10K utilises the same course as the Scimitar Lightning 12Hr, so whether you want to use the event as your final preparation for the 12hr, to sample out style of off-road courses, or just as a great, rewarding stand alone challenge we'd love to see you there. Entry is only £10 per person so why not give it a go?!

Entries for the Catton 10k are available. Entries for the Lightning Run 12hr are available on the Saturday before the race.
